Work orders and preventive maintenance, costed to the asset
VenturusEAM takes a request from anyone in the plant, turns it into a planned work order, schedules it against your crew and closes it with every hour and part on the asset’s record. Preventive maintenance runs on the calendar, the meter or the condition of the machine, and the cost lands in your books without anyone re-keying it.

From request to work order in one step
Anyone signed in can report a problem from a phone or by scanning the asset’s QR code. Planners see every request in one queue, and a request becomes a work order with one click, carrying the asset, the location and the history with it.
Maintenance hub with work order filters
One list of all maintenance work with counts for overdue, scheduled and completed jobs and this month's cost.
Work order record
Each work order holds its type, priority, schedule, technician, vendor, estimated cost, failure code and notes on one page.
Maintenance requests from any signed-in user
Anyone signed in can report a problem by picking the site, location and asset and describing what is wrong.
Work request queue with status counts
Planners see every request in one list, counted and grouped by status, with search and a status filter.
Convert a request to a work order in one click
A planner turns an approved request into a corrective work order in one click, and the request keeps a link to it.
AI-drafted request suggestions and closeout summariesVenturusAI
VenturusAI drafts the priority, failure code, craft and steps for a request, and the closeout summary for a finished job, for a person to confirm.
Step-by-step operations on a work order
Break a job into numbered operations, reorder them and mark each one pending, in progress or complete.
Start, hold and finish times
Technicians press start, hold and finish on the work order, and the times recorded feed MTTR, availability and downtime.
Preventive maintenance that runs itself
Versioned PM templates hold the steps, parts, safety requirements and checklists. Schedules run on the calendar, on meter readings or on sensor conditions, and the work orders for the horizon you choose are created for you every night.
PM template library
Define each preventive job once, with its type, priority, interval, estimated hours and cost, craft and procedure.
Generate PM work orders for any horizon
A planner generates every PM work order due in the next 1 to 365 days in one step, one per assigned asset per due date.
Versioned PM templates
Changes to a PM job go into a new lettered revision that is released on purpose, and generated work orders say which revision they follow.
Assign PM templates to assets
Link a PM template to every asset it covers, and switch individual assignments on or off.
Calendar PM schedules
Schedule PM every N days, on chosen weekdays each week, or on a set day each month, from a start date.
PM schedule overview
See every PM schedule with its template, company, site, cadence and next due date, and how many are due this week or overdue.
PM work orders created automatically every night
A nightly job creates the coming week's PM work orders ahead of their due dates, with no one pressing a button.
Meter reading log on each asset
Record hour, mile, cycle or other meter readings on the asset, with rollover detection and the last 50 readings shown.
A weekly board your crew can trust
The schedule board shows every technician’s week against their skills, certifications and absences. Drag a job to a slot and the board warns you if the certification has lapsed or the shift is already full.
Weekly schedule board
Drag backlog work onto a technician and a day, move it to another day, or pull it back to the backlog.
Technician roster
A list of the maintenance crew, searchable and filtered by craft, site and shift, with new technicians added from the same page.
Technician profile
Each technician has a profile with photo, employee ID, contact details, department, cost center and specialty.
Technician certifications with expiry badges
Track each technician's certifications and see at a glance which have expired or expire within 90 days.
Pop-out schedule board
Open the schedule board in its own large window for a second screen or a shop-floor display.
Crew utilization on the board
The board shows scheduled hours as a share of crew capacity for the week.
Board capacity by shift and absence
The board knows each technician's shift and time off, so capacity and utilization reflect who is actually available.
Technician skills and proficiency
Record each technician's skills with a category, a proficiency level, whether they are certified in it and when last assessed.
Every hour and every part, on the record
Labor is entered per operation and parts are issued against the work order. At closeout the actual cost rolls up to the asset and posts to your general ledger, or to a capital project when the work improves the asset.
Labor entry per operation
Technicians log hours against each operation, and the rate defaults to the technician's own hourly rate.
Labor posts to the general ledger
Each labor entry posts a journal entry, so maintenance cost is in the books as soon as the work is logged.
Issue and return parts against a work order
Issue stock to a job and return what was not used, with the inventory movement and journal entry made for you.
Work order closeout
Closing a job checks that every operation is done, totals its cost and records who closed it and when.
Actual cost roll-up at closeout
Labor, parts net of returns and outside vendor cost add up to the work order's actual cost when it closes.
Failure codes on work orders
Each work order records one failure code from a standard list, which drives the failure Pareto and recurring-failure alerts.
Recurring failure alerts
The maintenance hub flags assets where the same failure code has come back within 30 or 90 days.
Capitalize a work order onto the asset
When a repair is really an improvement, its completed cost is added to the asset's value with the journal entry and depreciation update.
Safe work in the field
Lockout and tagout steps and permits travel with the work order. Technicians work from the mobile app, offline when they need to be, and everything syncs when they reconnect.
Technician mobile app
Technicians install Venturus on a phone or tablet and work their assigned jobs, scan assets and add photos from the floor.
Lockout/tagout steps on work orders
Work that needs isolation carries its lockout/tagout steps onto the work order, and each step is signed off before work starts.
Permits to work
Hot work, confined space and similar jobs require an approved permit on the work order before they can start.
Offline work with sync on reconnect
Technicians keep logging time, parts and notes where there is no signal, and the app sends them when it reconnects.
VenturusAI
VenturusAI drafts the work. A planner signs off.
VenturusAI reads each request and drafts the priority, failure code, craft, steps and parts. It suggests who should do the job and when. A person accepts or edits every suggestion, and the audit trail records which was which.
How VenturusAI worksSuggested priority, codes, craft and steps on work requests
Rules read the request text and propose priority, codes, craft, hours and steps. The planner reviews the suggestion card and the resulting work order before any work is scheduled.
Draft work order from a request
Rules draft the work order and its operations. The draft waits as pending approval, and the planner edits or approves it before it is worked.
Suggested technician assignments on the schedule board
The board proposes technician assignments and explains them. The planner assigns each operation by dragging it onto the schedule; nothing is assigned automatically.
AI-drafted closeout summaries
VenturusAI drafts the closeout text. The technician or planner edits and accepts it as part of closing the work order.

Common questions
Can technicians use it on a phone?
Yes. Technicians open their work orders, record labor and parts, follow lockout steps and close jobs from the mobile app, including where there is no signal. The work syncs when the phone reconnects.
Does preventive maintenance have to run on the calendar?
No. A PM can run on the calendar, on meter readings such as hours or cycles, as a floating schedule from the last completion, or on a condition from a sensor reading.
How does maintenance cost reach the general ledger?
Labor and parts post when they are recorded against the work order, and the actual cost rolls up to the asset at closeout. Work that improves the asset can be capitalized onto it or charged to a capital project instead.
Can we bring our existing PM schedules across?
Yes. PM templates, schedules and asset assignments load from spreadsheets through the data onboarding wizard, and each row is checked before anything is saved.
The plant never stops. Neither does the record.
Bring an asset list and a month of work orders. We will load them and walk through your own plant in VenturusEAM, from the purchase order to the depreciation run.
