From a failing spindle to a closed, costed repair

A vibration reading on CNC-04 drops the machine’s health score and raises a request. VenturusAI drafts the work order, a planner approves it, the parts kit waits at the storeroom window, and the repair posts its cost to the asset and the ledger.

Step by step

  1. 01

    The sensor flags the spindle

Spindle vibration on CNC-04 crosses its limit and raises an alarm. The asset’s health score falls from 91 to 62, and the plant map turns the machine amber.

  2. 02

A request is raised on the asset

The alarm opens a work request on CNC-04 with the reading attached. An operator can add a note or a photo from a phone by scanning the machine’s QR code.

    VenturusAI drafts the work order

VenturusAI reads the request and the asset’s history and suggests bearing wear, high priority, the steps and the 7014 bearing kit. It also suggests J. Ruiz at 2:30 PM, before second shift.

Common questions

Does a sensor alarm create a work order automatically?

A condition-based PM can create the work order when a reading crosses its limit. Otherwise the alarm raises a request, and a planner decides whether it becomes work.

What does VenturusAI decide on its own?

Nothing. VenturusAI drafts the priority, failure code, steps, parts and a suggested technician and slot. A planner accepts or edits each suggestion before the work order is released.

How does the technician get the parts?

Parts planned on the work order are reserved and picked into a parts kit, which the storeroom stages at the window. The technician picks up the kit and issues it to the work order from the mobile app.

Where does the repair cost go?

Labor and parts post as they are recorded, and at closeout the actual cost rolls up to the asset. You see it on the asset’s record and in the general ledger.

The plant never stops. Neither does the record.

Bring an asset list and a month of work orders. We will load them and walk through your own plant in VenturusEAM, from the purchase order to the depreciation run.
